Self-Etching Primer 6111

Question

We are currently modifying the methodology used to restore classic cars and I want to know if it is better to apply body filler on a plain steel part (all paint, etc. removed) then apply your 6111 self etching primer, or is it better to apply the primer first.

We do not recommend using 6111 under Polyester Body Filler. You could prime the car to keep it from rusting, but you must sand areas that need filler back to bare steel prior to applying the filler.
